Our involvement with two teams uncovered that their relationship between two divisions was silo'd and presented conflicting priorities. While discovering their ability to negotiate, they were able to build a better relationship resulting in avoiding costly misdirection that amounted to $3.2M in wasted effort when they weren't in alignment. Honoring all roles in the system helped to increase the communication and cooperation between the two units.
